I’m Luis Felipe Mussalem, an award-winning media strategist based in Toronto. An immigrant trying to find his place, a language nerd, a fan of travelling and just like you, someone who spends too much time on social media (in my defence, it’s part of the job!).
Why storytelling?
Researching, learning, and exploring a subject was the process that made me go into journalism. It’s what I’m good at. I grew to see a story in everything and that’s what fulfills me and makes me learn more and more about this wonderful world of ours.
What can I do?
I’m particularly interested in innovative work that takes a while to gather your thoughts. This is the highlight of some things I have done:
Engaged and attracted different audiences by being aware of digital trends and tactics.
Pitched and wrote stories about health, crime, social issues, entertainment, and much more.
Created branded and editorial content for many different organizations.
Produced multimedia content for various platforms (including a documentary).
Covered international research projects, contributing to making science more accessible.
Used large bodies of data to create effective visualizations for my pieces.

I’m creative when developing constructive and meaningful stories, I’m up-to-date on everything that influences my life and the lives of others, and I do not miss deadlines.
